In April of 1989, the skeletal remains of an unidentified male were discovered in the wooded area west of Lake Tahoe's Heavenly Ski Resort in Stateline. It was estimated he died within the preceding six months.

It is believed that the remains are those of a white male, twenty-four to thirty-four years of age. Clothing discovered with the remains consisted of blue Wrangler brand corduroy pants having a waist size of 30; maroon Brute brand underwear, red wool socks and a blue jacket. Also nearby was a pair of Dakis brand gold frame prescription glasses with thick lenses.

In September of 2004 the remains were sent to the Louisiana State Universitywhere a clay facial reconstruction examination was performed.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Department is asking anyone who may have known this subject to please contact Investigator Ted Duzan at 586-7250.
